Mr. Jones has over 15 years of governance, risk, and compliance experience (Financial Services Sector and Information Technology industries) including concentrations in business analytics, training, policy and technical writing, program/project management. Currently, Mr. Jones manages an international compliance team in the European Union and North America for U.S. Bancorp. As a North Carolina Teaching Fellows recipient (full academic scholarship), Mr. Jones matriculated and graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in biology and education. Mr. Jones received an M.B.A. in finance and is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration (strategy and innovation).
Mr. Jones is data-driven and results-oriented in approach and has a strong analytical and problem-solving skills to lead, guide, and encourage cross-functional teams to surpass project objectives. Moreover, Mr. Jones has experience interfacing with critical business units including senior executives in professional development, information technology, marketing, finance, human resources.
Mr. Jones served ten years as a K-12 teacher and during his teaching tenure, he taught advanced placement biology, advanced placement chemistry, physical science, ecology, and environmental science. While at Harding University High School (an accredited International Baccalaureate High School) in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system, Mr. Jones implemented standards-based instruction to ensure students made significant academic gains. Mr. Jones created units of instruction focused on student success through project and discovery-based learning activities. He is credited with a record of 100 percent pass rate for all of his students in biology and chemistry on the North Carolina End-of-Course tests. Mr. Jones delivered interventions and developed flexible lesson routines and procedures that were built in response to learning outcomes.
As a Model Teacher Leader for the Math and Science Knowledge, Inquiry, and Learning (MASKIL) program of Atlanta Public Schools, Mr. Jones guided and mentored teachers on differentiating instruction, developing inquiry-based lessons, and assisted teachers with the facilitation of micro-labs. Mr. Jones provided teachers with leadership, research-based practices, and beneficial feedback through measured evaluations to improve their instructional capacities in conjunction with student achievement.
Furthermore, Mr. Jones has an extensive background in developing leader-led, e-learning courseware, professional development solutions, and family engagement workshops. He is the author of Fatherhood+: Life Changing Advice, Wisdom, and Motivational Notes.
